Another musical interlude

I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I've made a number of pictures that I call "given to fly" pictures. They don't really have to do with flying per se. If anything, it's the opposite; they're about constraints.

Here's a video for the song that started that, at least in regard to how I refer to those pictures. Again, they have nothing to do with this song, or even with what the song is about. It's just that one day I was painting and listening to a Pearl Jam CD and this song played and suddenly it was as if three words could sum up the feeling that's in each of those pictures, even if none of the pictures resemble each other.  (Oooops... I just realized I posted this song a couple months ago.....oh, well, it just shows how much I like it.... sorry...)

So, here it is: "Given To Fly," by Pearl Jam

This next video is "More Than One Way Home," by Keb Mo.  It's just a song I've been listening to a lot, after not listening to it for a long time.  Three of his albums have won Grammy's for best contemporary blues album. This is from his second album, which I think might be his best.

Next, Duran Duran's "Ordinary World."
I've always liked a lot of Duran Duran's songs, but I never really appreciated how huge they were back in the 90's until I read an autobiography by John Taylor, who played bass for them (I guess he still does). This is one of those songs that, once it gets in my head while I'm painting, I'll play over and over.

End of musical break. Ha ha, just buying myself time because I'm in the middle of doing new pictures and have nothing to show.
