A lull in activity

I had promised myself that when I finished that cascade picture I'd treat myself to some easy pictures. But yesterday I made the mistake of digging out a few unfinished blossom pictures.... you know, just to look at them for a moment.... and, damn it, two of them are simply begging to be worked on. I swear I won't do it; I won't get sucked into working on yet another tedious project with no end in sight. Or maybe I will.....

I'll give it some thought.

In the interim, I ordered some postcards from Vistaprint of several pictures I've done. The postcards they made of the Pinwheel cascade were very well done, so I'm optimistic they'll do a good job on these as well. I should have them early enough to use them in lieu of holiday cards. Yes, I actually do still mail things to people, although these days it might only amount to a postcard.

Anyway, I'm thinking I might try to do a picture with a blue background with a gold/yellow/raw sienna/ochre fish set against it. Either that or a green(ish) background with a red(ish) fish. I've got the itch to paint a fish. A big one.

So, until I decide what I want to work on, there will be a lull.
