Small blossom

Really hard to get a photo of this picture that matches the original very well. Part of the problem is the size: The painting is only 5 3/8 X 3 1/4 inches. How it displays on a computer monitor is anyone's guess. And I can't seem to get the colors to adjust as I'd like them. Still, you get the general idea, I hope.
This thing took weeks to paint. There are 286 cells in it. About 16 per square inch. Really a lot of concentration went into this. I'm pretty happy with it. It will form the basis for a much larger picture, maybe 12 X 16 or something like that. Not looking forward to that very much, to be honest. This stuff wears me out.
